Fish cat toy

Materials:

• Fabric

• Colored string/yarn

• Stuffing

• opt. Catnip

  also: scissors, pencil

Start by drawing a fish shape on the backside of the fabric you want to use. You can make it whatever size you want, but make sure to leave enough space to sew on the edges!

Trace the first fish to make another one and cut both out.

TIP: use 2 different fabrics for each side of the fish to make it more interesting!

Step 1

Lay both fish on top of each other so that the pretty sides touch each other.

Now, start sewing around the edges but leave a hole at the end of the fin, so that you can later put the stuffing in.

Step 2

Turn the fish inside out so that the hem is invisible. Then you can start filling it with whatever stuffing you have.

I used left-over fabric scraps to make it a zero-waste project!

TIP: you can put some catnip in the fish to make you cat obsessed with it

Step 3

To finish the fish, cut some yarn and put part of it in the fin. Now, you can sew over the hole.
